Eccentricity

And 10 hours later…

Goodbye Oxford.

I left Oxford this afternoon after a lovely few days of relaxing and enjoying some freedom from work and studying.  I don’t think it has hit me that I am not going back anytime soon.  And I know it definitely hasn’t hit me that I am going to be back at university in two days.

I am currently in York sitting on the train.  I have now been on this god forsaken train for 6 hours.  It seems that National Rail cannot deal with a bit of rain.  Apparently the station at Leeds was struck by lightening, delaying us there, and as there is ‘too much water on the tracks’ we have been crawling north up towards Glasgow.  I only have one day to turn around and get up to St Andrews.  It is going to be a bit of a mission to repack and organise all my things…again.  I do love moving around so often, it is an easy way to keep life interesting but sometimes I just wish I could stop living out a suitcase, just for a while.  It will be great to get back to St Andrews again, the place I feel most at home these days.

I am going to miss Oxford so much though, the scenery, the nice weather, the nightlife, the people and most of all, the person who made my summer more than I ever thought it could be.

So, to the end of an era, and here’s hoping the next can be as perfect.
